The Arts in 3 Dimensions

About

What is 3-D Art?

3 dimensional art is any form of art that is not flat like on paper. In 3-D Art you not only have to consider the normal criteria seen in 2 dimensional art, but also the application of depth and all the new criteria that come with it. In a way, 3-D Art is everything around you. Everything you see has length, width, and depth. In a sense, anything can be art if you think about it. That is the beauty of 3 dimensional art. It can be abstract, complex, or as simple as just a tin can on a desk with light shining on it, but it is all still art. Just like this kusudama on the left, everything has beauty, humanity just lacks perspective.

According to ARTDEX, three - dimensional art are art pieces presented in the dimensions of height, width, and depth, occupying physical space and can be perceived from all sides and angles. On the other hand, two- dimensional works of art, which are created on flat surfaces, and can only be observed in terms of height and width.
